Passalora musicola, sp. nov. – a new Indian hyphomycete

Passalora musicola, sp. nov., collected on living leaves of Musa paradisiaca (Musaceae) in northeastern Uttar Pradesh, India, is described, illustrated and compared with morphologically similar species on monocots. It is the first species of Passalora on a host belonging to the Musaceae.
