Several species of Agaricus were collected from the Margalla Hills and various districts of Punjab, Pakistan, and were examined using an integrative approach, combining morphological characters and nrDNA based phylogenetic analyses. Agaricus iqbalii is described as a new species based on consistent morphological distinctions and its well-supported, distinct phylogenetic placement within Agaricus sect. Minores based on ITS and LSU sequences. In addition, A. flavodiscus, previously nown
only from Malakand District, is newly recorded from Sialkot District, extending its known distribution across different climatic regions of Pakistan. Agaricus tenuistipitatus, also published under its new synonym A. tarbelensis, was known from the Malakand and Swabi districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and is now reported from the Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan, extending its known distribution within the country.
